POTS & Dysautonomia Care
At Belair Family Health Centre, we provide informed, compassionate and evidence-based care for people with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and other forms of dysautonomia.
Dr Jeremy Yang provides POTS and dysautonomia assessments, supported by our practice nursing team.
Assessment
Many people experience symptoms such as dizziness, palpitations, fatigue and “brain fog” for some time without a clear answer. We offer in-clinic assessment to evaluate how your autonomic nervous system responds to standing, and to rule out other contributing causes.
Management
POTS management is individualised. We work with you on lifestyle measures, activity and rehabilitation, and medication where appropriate, and coordinate with other specialists for more complex cases.
Appointments
POTS assessment is privately charged for all patients (including those under 16 years). At least two appointments are required. Please book by calling the clinic on 08 8278 8900.
Appointment 1
- Please allow 45 minutes for the first appointment
- This includes a nurse appointment for the in-clinic assessment and ECG (30 minutes), followed by a consultation with Dr Jeremy Yang.
The first appointment fee is $310 + ECG, with a concession fee of $280 + ECG (Medicare rebate of $125.10 for eligible patients; the ECG fee is fully rebated by Medicare).
If the appointment extends beyond 60 minutes, the fee is $400 + ECG (Medicare rebate of $202.65 for eligible patients; the ECG fee is fully rebated by Medicare)
Appointment 2
- Please allow 30 minutes for the second appointment with Dr Yang to discuss your results and treatment options.
The second appointment fee is $230, with a concession fee of $200 (Medicare rebate of $84.90 for eligible patients).
